Helping Kids Understand that Life Isn't Easy

Summertime is a wonderful time for moms (and dads) to help children understand that even when life is challenging, it can be happy and rewarding.  

Real happiness doesn't come from the things we have or from being entertained.  It comes from righteousness, gratitude, caring relationships, making progress, and giving service.  

In this five minute video, Linda and Richard Eyre give great suggestions to help children understand that life can be hard AND very rewarding.

• Expose children to people in your community who need help.
  
• Give kids opportunities to serve.
• Teach them to give part of their income to people in need.  
  
• Go on a "service vacation."
